Just a side note, BFG will also be releasing their versions of the physx cards, however, ASUS will be the only people releasing the 256 cards, BFG only gets the 128.

    Awesome, thanks for that.

Regular tasks are gonna be so much faster too this is a great breakthrough in the PC world I think.

The PC is gonna be back on top of gaming soon.

I dunno if they are really gonna be THAT revolutionary, tehy do seem cool, but how much can they actually help if a game isn't coded to use PhysX, I bet valve will be the first to try that, they make the best games and they were the first people to release a 64 bit PC game.

Well think of it this way...It's basically a CPU made to fit in a PCI slot. Instead of the main CPU processing all the movements and explosions and etc...This will handle that load and the CPU is Free to put more work into the rest of the system.

So you do the math, I think it will make a huge impact.

I agree with you, there is a definate possibility that this new tech will revolutionize gaming, however, "Regular tasks" is subjective. This will help when it comes to gaming, and then only games that are produced with the physx processor in mind, however, it wont help out all in word documents, surfing the web, im services and the such... which are what alot of people would consider "regular tasks". Either way though, i cant wait till these babies are released to the public market... DAMN Alianware/Dell/FNW for getting them first! *scowls ready to attack* As for "The PC is gonna be back on top of gaming soon." When was it not? ;)

The above is a link to some of the upcoming games that will be utilizing this mini-powerhouse. Alot of promising titles, from alot of top name developers!

Looks kind of neat and and all, but I'm quite glad I don't want any of those games.

I was wondering that too. ;)

I would've edited this in but...

I hope these come built into the dx10 video cards, because no matter how cool you think it is, it's just too much of a pain for the vast majority of us to buy yet *another* upgrade to our PC.

I remember when transform and lighting first reared its head, the idea was again the same to remove the load from the cpu, this looks the same repackaged,a way to charge you more for your video card and reason for you buy another upgrade

I rushed out to buy my new geforce 2 pro with the the amazing new T and L,it cost me £199 about $350,yes the graphics were better, but not the 'revolution' I was expecting, not any more than I expected from a £200 card

I'v grown wise since then, the video card companies will only release technology at the pace people will pay for it,why release advanced technology and lose a few years of profit? When they can drip feed you slowly and make you pay for smaller incremental upgrades, they wont, they will promise new 'gimmicks' that will skip generations of natural technological progression, but they never do

Saying that, looks like a good idea this physics thingy, where my credit card :)
