What did you swap? The CPU or the case or what? That was a little unclear.

Why can't you use the connectors on the back panel for the headphones and mic?

I'm assuming you're referring to the power button when you say "front button config"? Usually there is an 8 or 10 female pin that connects to its male counter part on the motherboard. It looks kind of like the jumper pins on a hard drive.

I'm not sure emachines has such a thing as a motherboard diagram but here's your manual and downloads:
Windows XP SP1, P4 2.8c, Abit IC7-G, PQI 2x512MB PC3200, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, Antec 480w, Razer Copperhead

E-mach's have the normal mobo setup with words like pwr sw screen printed into the board. That is where you plug in the power reset switch.
The front audio, usualy says audio1 or front audio. Also if the mobo is the same one that came with an e-machine the two harnesses will almost fall into place where they are suposed to go.
Don't tell me to update my drivers, or do a spyware sweep. I have already done it.
