windows95/98 question

    Tried to install windows98se over 95.Inserted disc went through process and it gave me a message that I would have to do an upgrade of 98 first. The system is an old IBM aptiva mod#2176-C66 if you need to know more I will provide the info. My question is can I put 98 on this system?

    Sounds like you have an upgrade disc and not a full os ( Its looking for 98 to upgrade from)Thats a pretty old machine but it should run 98 ok just nothing heavy in the graphics dept--

    as Petaluma said, u need the window 98 upgrade it preceeded w98se, then u load the w98se, u may want to ask if anyone on the software side of the major geeks system someone may have a w98 source.
