I am 99% that my linksys USB w/ speedbooster (WUSB54GS) wireless network adaptor is causing my system to lock up after an HD reformat. My computer runs 12 + hours w/o USB plugged in, but screen freezes w/in 60 minutes when adapter is plugged in. The driver is the most up-to-date according to linksys websight. Any suggestions?

Sounds a little scary. I downloaded the via update and it mentions :

do i have to do this too or do I just open the "setup.exe" file or both and in what order?

I went ahead and did the "setup.exe" but not the floppy update. everything seemed to install fine although after being prompted to restart the setup program did not respond and I had to "end now". Upon restart computer locked up in about 15 minutes.

    Referring to your post:

What card are you referring to? I have a TV Tuner card- PCI and my video card is AGP. The wireless network adapter is USB.

moved the tuner card to a different slot and 18 hours w/ no lockup. I aasume there ther was some kind of conflict between the wireless usb and the tuner card? Thanks for your help.

Well, after moving tuner card the computer ran about 36 hours before locking up. After restarting the computer locked up within a few minutes. Please note that local compter shop replaced PSU and has run a coplete set of stress tests w/o finding any hardware problems.

Well, moved TV card to a different slot again. Computer froze soon after restart. Interesting thing is that it froze at about the same time as I was prompted by "found new hardware" to put in my WinTV CD. Does this mean that the TV card was not installed at this point? I still think it is the USB wireless. Does anyone think that it would be worth buying an internal wireless adapter and doing away with the USB? Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
