DVD Help

I have a Benq Dq60 DVD burner I just bought. installed b. It came with Nero 3 also installed. When try to play dvd i get error "cannot build a graph" and dvd wont play. However nero will burn a disk and copy to a file but will not play either file nor dvd in tray. plays cds fine.
i am using windows 2000, with p111 and 133 bus 1.7ghz. . any help would be appreciated.

 

Did your player come with a Dvd player program,because if not Windows does not have the correct codec to play dvd's. Some Dvd program's are Power DVD or cyberlink DVD player.

 

Thanks for quick responce. Player came with Nero gold dvd blayer. but does not work.

What version of oem nero do you have it should say it on the disk some of the oem versions do not come with the dvd pluggin.

 

You could try a different player from here there are several in the Multimedia Downlaod Section.

 

I have read alot of bad reviews about this drive....
