LCD As TV ?

I might get an 19" LCD TV for the bedroom. I just redid the entire room and started to wall mount a 19" tv. Of course - the thing is huge. I decided not to mount it as it was just too obtrusive. So I might go with a modestly sized LCD flat screen.

Does anyone have any experience using an LCD in a room as a tv only? What are the pros and cons. Is it a bad idea altogether? It will really only be used intermittently - maybe for a half-hour in the morning and for an hour at night when the the family room tv is being used.

    Thanks for any opinions.

yes I have a 32in HDTV LCD in my bedroom, not wallmounted as yet but can easily be as it has the brackets.

now when you say 19" LCD TV you are meaning one with integrated TV tuner and not just a PC LCD which dont come with tuners ( or dont 99.9% of the time )?

if the TV tuner type LCD then yes great option, sepecially as a space saver, I have this one http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/television/tftlcd/le32r51bdxxeu.asp also has component connection for PC.

con: cost is higher than converntional CRTs
