MSN Messenger problem

    I have 2 PCs networked via a Netgear wireless router. One PC is WinXP, the other Win98SE. Whenever my kids use MSN, I need to run CCleaner & restart before I can get the Win98 machine to log on to the network. Although this is workable, its frustrating as the Win98 miachine takes about 4.5 min to restart. What is causing the router to reject the Win98 machine after MSN & is there any way I can permanently fix this?
