Newbie question about securing my wireless network

So I just set up my broadband wireless router (Linksys Wireless - G 2.4ghz 802.11g) and im worried about neighbors leeching off of my network, also my info being openly broadcast for all to see. So how does a newb go about securing my network to prevent all this from happening??

XP Sp2
LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g miniPCI Adapter
2.79GHz, 448mb RAM
