Will this be a bottleneck?

well Im thinking of putting in another 6600GT For SLI I curently have a XFX 256MB 6600GT And I was just wondering if it would be a bottleneck on my system? Heres my specs below

AMD athlon 64 3200+ Skt 754
1Gb DDR400 Ram (cosair XMS)
EpoX Nforce 4 Skt 754 Mobo
80Gb IDE HD 7,200 RPM (old)
6600GT Graphics card
sound blaster audigy 2 sound card
and a 500Watt PSU

 

IMO you'll be fine,you will see more performance with a faster cpu,but an extra 6600 in there will be a great uprade,you will have performance up and above a 6800gt.

I'd be tempted to overclock you could easily push your cpu to the equivalent of a 3700,I run my 3500+ at 2.6ghz at stock voltage which gives it benchmark performance equivalent to an fx 55 not bad for a chip that cost a third of the price your sli cards would make good use of the extra speed

 

Well I might OC A bit Maybe 2.4GHz Is that good?

 

Its ok for a 3200,overclocking shouldnt be approached like this though,you should increase your cpu speed gradually checking at each stage for stability and temperature,setting goals just makes you push your cpu too far IMHO,your cpu will find its own safe limit if done properly,if done improperly you can kill your cpu,when you get your second card I'd see how everything runs using various benchmarks and timedemos,then try a small overclock if you see an improvement in your prefered game your on the right track

TBH in a perfect world I would mate a 3500 or 3700 with two 6600gt's in sli,but a 3200 is still a great match IMO
