There was a thread on this that I dug up, but it seems everyone's removed the pics from their space.

Here's 2 from a few months ago, I've done some tidying since and replaced the power supply.

    That does look nice, off thread a bit but you both have P4's mine is;
P4 3.06GHz, On Chip: CPU sSpec No.: SL7PM MALAY, ID No.: 0523A245 on a MS 7060 mobo
    (MSI 661FM2-LSR(601-7060-050): 661FX + 964 + Realtek8201BL + ALC655)

BIOS is locked and I can't tweak it that way my CPU is at 44-45C idle and are considering further cooling. I want to OC so am I better off getting a new mobo (if so, any suggs) or just using software?!??

Impressive is that a custom?? Is it all open and thus may have increased dust potential either way it looks good.

Thank you. Yes, it's a custom. I purchased all the components and assembled it. I mainly bought the case because it is so open - I read where the P4s ran hot, so I felt all the extra venting would be a plus. I haven't had much trouble with dust - and you can easily mount fans just about anywhere in this case.
It has a place in the top to mount a card reader.

Case is an AMS CF-7089, and was "factory blemished" - the blemish was some clear acrlyic side panels that just came right off. Spent $18.99 on it.

    P4 3.0E ghz w/HT
    Asus Tech P4P800
2 GB samsung DDR 400mhz dual channel ram
    120 GB SATA primary drive
    80 GB SATA secondary Drive
    Dual layer DVD burner
    DVD rom
3.5 floppy (they are still usefull!)
    ATI RAdeon 9800Pro All-in-wonder
    Aspire 600W PSU
Artic Cooler Freezer 4 CPU cooler

Granted, I didn't buy it all at once, but after about a year I ended up with what I wanted. I've been pretty happy with it. I just this week replaced the stock CPU cooler - now I'm gonna try some overclocking!

Here is my secondary PC - and the very first one I built - it's a P3 933mhz with an Intel board, 512mb of PC133 Ram, CD-RW, and an Asus Radeon 9200 video card. I use it to surf and play on the net when my main PC is crunching Video - I also use it for Team Speak on the now rare occaisons when my sons and I get to play internet games. I built it for one of my sons, but inherited it (back?) when he got a new one, and upgraded the 733mhz processor it had. I use an Iomega KVM switch to bounce back and forth between them - that way I only need one monitor, one keyboard, and one mouse. Works pretty good, though I don't often have them both on, now that the kids find spending time with girls is more fun then playing pc games with dad . . . go figure! lol

THAT'S your rig, Insomniac!?!?! I have about 3 of these in my office right now, and they're quickly becoming extinct in our building...they only in the dirtiest areas of the manufacturing floor now.. probably does the job for you, but I expected something far more modern...

Btw, the power buttons on these SUCK...hope your not having as much trouble with yours as I am with every one of these barstiches we have...

Heh, you can see we're big on organization here....

I'm a cheapskate. Paying off my house was my main priority, and now that's done, I'll be building a PC soon. :)

Even though they are pretty crappy, NetVista's, like most IBM stuff, are bullet proof.

I'm with you 100%. It took me a while (and a couple of Christmases, birthdays, and father's days lol) to finally get where I wanted to be. Lucky I have a wife who supports my computer addiction . . . lord, I love that woman!

picture time! I have to move the radiator so i can get my door back on lol, ill get to it sooner or later. Yes, i know the wiring job sucks, i have so many cables i run outta places to stick them lol. Maybe ill have to bust out the zip-ties soon...

I also rotated the door window because the side fan was doing absolutely nothing cooling-wise where it was in the upper left corner. I would have put it in front of the PCI cards and vid card but the window isnt square and this is the only other option....at least i can turn down my front intake fan now. yay, no more jet engine lol.

Actually, now that i think about it, the side fan WAS sucking in cold air that would get used by the radiator....maybe ill switch it back after i compare temps.

Anyone have suggestions as to what else i could do wto make this look better? Im going to replace the blue cathodes (maybe just one) with a UV cathode since the coolant is UV reactive. I tried a blacklight on it and it looks awesome when it glows green....

your pump needs to be rotated 90 degrees to the right. You are going to get air pockets!!!
And it looks good other than the pump, and yes clean the wires up and you will have better air flow and better case temps...

dang snipergod, thats one huge CPU heatsink....must cool pretty well. did u remove the exhaust fan on the back?

  26. Snipergod87

    Snipergod87 Specialist

Yeah its pretty huge what do u expect its for a P4 lol, there nexer was an exhaust fan on the back, i just drilled a hole in the rear of the case along witht he 2 on the top, that way the heatsink fan can blow the hot air from the processor directly out to back.
    My Heatsink (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835186134)
That thing lowered by idle temps by like 20 degrees (fahrenheit).

My next task to take on is cleaning out the wiring, but that would be a pain in the a$$ and not sure if i am going to end up doing it

nice....is that the ARMOR J.r. case? i think you may have inspired me to get it if thats what it is...my case looks nice, but sucks at keeping internal temps down...

That's the only thing that stops me from buying an Armor case, the size.

The CoolerMaster Praetorian is also on my list.

nice box... not enough optical drive bays for me though: I'm utilizing 10 of the 11 available. Its not shown in the pic, but there is more stuff in there now.

I know you covered this in your lounge post, but what do you have in 10 drive bays?

    I can understand 3 or maybe 4, but 10?

    Looks like nice setup

Tell us how you run three monitor's on one BFG 7900??
Are the two outside just on a splitter sharing one head of the video card & if so is that a DVI splitter?

    P.S. no cookie

Not sure but this maybe what you could use:

    http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/05...2go_span_fun_across_three_displays/print.html

    This is an earlier version:

    http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/03/29/matrox_dualhead2go/print.html

I know there is another device out there can't get the link at the moment as iit's down and the host says it's the w/e and go outside and do something else, lol, but will act as a splitter from 1 Vid Card output for upto 3 monitors.
