I like using this to test to see if my games will work I have a

    AMD Fx53 (Freq 2.4 Ghz)
    BFG 6800GT
    2gigs of ram

When I test a game I get everything good ,but it reads my cpu speed is 2.4 ghz(wich is bad)Is it really 2.4 Ghz? I was told its like 3.4 ghz intel wise.Is it really 2.4ghz speed or "System Requiements lab" Dosen't support Amd cpu's..Please help Thx

    Its really 2.4ghz.

ghz does not equal true performance anymore.

what I am trying to say is,System Requiements lab reads my cpu as 2.4 ghz and gives me a low mark.Does it really mean I have a 2.4 ghz cpu or I shouden't worry about it.

    Don't worry about it, cpu-wise.

The Fx53 is right up there with the big dogs.

Have to agree even if your Fx53 is quoted as 2.4GHz that AMD will probably run circles around my P4E 3.0GHz when its stock.

You might find this article interesting... how to get a 4.1GHz processor (that supposedly outperfoms the Opteron 144) out of a budget CPU.

EXCELLENT article, a little tip for Toms is to add print.html to the link and it will generate an ad free single page, love it no more having to open the numerous pages (takes longer to load though!).

For gaming applications its running around a p4 3.8ghz depending on the game and the resolution, try toms interactive cpu chart, the result vary quite a bit depending on the test
