Recomendations for RAM

I need help picking out a 1 gig stick of RAM. I have a A8N Sli Deluxe motherboard and it's hard to tell what is compatible with this thing

 

How much you willing to spend and do you want 2x512 mb or a plain 1gig stick?

 

Go with Corsair there the best.I kept having bad ram with other companies ,got corsair been running them for 2 year

If your gonna add it to a 1gb stick you already have installed it best to match it as closely as possible,get the same brand,speed rating and latency for the most chance of compatibility,it will also give you more chance of running in dual channel mode

 

Check on the motherboards manufactor's website, they usually have a compatiable RAM that has been tested.

First ques is this to add to other RAM? If so what is current RAM, brand/PCxxxx/SPD. Adding RAM to slower RAM will only impair the potential of the newer RAM so you want similar clock speeds! Corsair is good but there is OCZ and other reputable brands. It is not necassarily the brand that will dictate outcomes but also the tiered level within the brand.
