My friend's flashdisk exploded when he pulled it out of the USB port - he swears it happened because he didn't use the 'safely remove device' function. Is this possible and why? Or was it perhaps just a bad stick:confused: ?

USB devices are hot swappable .... I've never had to use the "safely remove ..." to plug or unplug ..... they do get the poser from the mobo, but it sounds like an issue with the device....

Nope never used Safely Remove for any USB device and never had any problems.
