Default Page cannot be diplayed

I have internet activity through my wirless router to my laptop, (what im on). And to my Xbox 360... Works perfectly but on my desktop computer internet doesn't work. I have internet going to it because i go into internet settings or somthing like that and it shows im connected but the packets sent moves up about 3 or 4 or 5 but the received packets dont move up at all. Im currently running some programs in safe mode to fix it. What else should I try?

Default Firefox and Explorer not working, Has internet... Malware?

My computer for some random reason quit working. I ran all the virus programs, (Spybot, Ad-Aware, Anti Vir, CCleaner) Both in Normal and in Safe mod but nothing was found. Now I can get on Aim and it works perfectly and I can check my mail through Outlook Express ( Although I don't use Outlook anymore...) Would this be a Virus or did somthing or somone change my settings? Any idea on how to fix this?

Don't bump your thread. We answer threads oldest to newest. By bunping your thread it si going to take us longer to get to you.

Please follow the steps below:

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
  • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
Quote:
Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (
these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
  • Bitdefender
  • Panda Scan
  • HijackThis

Hey thanks for your help. I am going to re-install the OS because I know I have tons of viruses and such and my computer needs to have a reset. I appreciate your time for helping me.

It's your call. May not be necessary, but at least you'll know the system is clean.
