I have recently purchased a used MacBook Pro 1.83. The system was clean however, the administrator was still installed. I do not have the password. We have tried to re-install th OS but that did not do the trick. Now we get an error message when installing disk 2. HELP!

What OS are you running and what type of OS install did you attempt? If the 2nd User has full rights to the Mac, a Clean Install (after backing up important data files) would give you a fresh start.
