How To Protect MP3's from Re-encoding?

    Greetings. Does anyone know of any software program that protects a MP3 from being re-encoded? In other words, it can be downloaded and listened to but not re-encoded. Thanks.

    Yes you can if your rip a mp3 file from a cd windows media player 11 has that option (i don't know if 10 has it) click on options then on rip music one of the boxes you can click on is copy protect music.

    No, that is incorrect. The copyright protection only allows you to listen to music on your own computer. However you can grant a license to someone else.
