Reusing previous uploads

Can anyone tell me how to reuse a previous attachment in a new thread?

I'm thinking of useful pictures I posted here previously.

 

Trimming / cropping definately works, but would not always be ideal.
Resizing would be a better option.

I have posted this picture before
All I did with the first picture attached here was to open it, and then save it with a random name.
When I tried that again to post the second picture it did not work.
Giving it a mild trim did work.
The third picture has just been resized 105% from the second picture

Placing the picture online somewhere and then linking to it when you want to use it is probably preferable

 

All your attachments are online on the MG server

Go into your user cp click the very bottom option attachments,right click the attachment you want to copy and choose copy shortcut and paste the link into your post

EDIT wow my post looks kinda dumb now I totally forgot you can only post an attachment once,I agree with shanmails post

Thanks for the contribution, Shane, but I was trying to avoid wasting server space, with multiple posts of basically the same pic.

Yes Rikky I found that I can insert the link but see no underlying reason for not reusing the icon.

C'mon MA, Halo and all - how do we make things better?

 

I'v posted an example of one of my old attachments if you follow my instructions in that post but I cant get it to display as an image on the same page or as an attachment,will that do?
