Freshman? I was a freshman once . . . long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away . . .

Hang in there. Don't worry about freshman torture week - it exists, but remember you get to harass the future newbies, so take notes! :cool

I didn't get any intiiation. I got into a fist fight the first week

and the second week....

 

Same here! No fistfights, though.

I had something they wanted. (not getting into specifics) It was nice to be able to dangle that over their head.

 

My first day of highschool thinking back, seems ages ago!

Knowledge and learning are excellent, you can never get enough in my opinion.

Cherish highschool while it last. I still wish I could go back and see my old friends, teachers...life was good

 

It's nothing... Just make sure you hang with the right crowd. Stay away from drugs and people who want you for material things. Keep your mind on the books and you'll be passing those high school chumps in a Mercedes one day.

Remember knowledge is power. The more you have the brighter the future you can provide for yourself and your children. Take it from me I never finished high school > I regret it to this day... Now I'm in a position where it's too hard to go back as I'm busy and have bills to pay. I will go back soon though I'm much older now.

STAY IN SCHOOL

 

No fights or problems yet. I will stay in school. Its not so bad as people say it is.

High School.

It was so much easier for me back then. Life gets harder. Even though I dreaded going to school, I sometimes I wish I was back there. Life was so much easier. No bills............:cryrolleyes

 

High school is like every other period in life, inasmuch as we need to make the most of it while we still have it. Otherwise, we will spend our lives, either looking back at the past, or wishing for things that haven't, and may never happen.

The fact that we will need the skills in high school for life, not just a job, makes it all the more important to use the time for your long-term benefit. Although I was popular enough in school, I was considered a bit of a bookworm. But it put me in good stead for the rest of my life. And yeah, learning in its many forms, is a life-long process.

No, I didn't get picked on, or 'initiated'. Being pretty big anyway, and using my head helped, I guess.
