MG Search Question

Before when I searched on the front page for downloads through MG, all that came up were downloads (I'm pretty sure I remember that anyway). Now I guess it searches the entire site.

My question: is there a way to ONLY search for downloads. It seems to pull up any thread that even mentions the application. I guess if MG doesn't provide the download, I'd rather it just come up as not having found anything.

It would be great to be able to do just a Download search or just a Forum search.

 

My tip for searching for downloads @ Majorgeeks..... type the application your after and just type MG after it and generally the first few hits are the downloads for the apps.

eg... everest mg [hit enter]

Email Tim or Jim @ this site .com and ask, they dont bite ok they may nip a bit, but worth putting your suggestion forward as they maybe planning one... we never know, or you may just seed an idea.

I think I was just looking up something that there wasn't a download for.

 

Halo is right. he gets a cookie. If it doesn’t come up first that is the best way.

We recently went to a google based search engine. The other one worked well if you knew how to use it, but people were asking for something easier.

One other trick is to put “download” file name. That will limit the search.

Also - if nothing comes up and it is a cool file we should have. Email Tim or I and we'll get it.

 

It wasn't a cool file...least not that I know..it might be. I was just curious about it since my sister is starting to teach cyberschool and they have her using a chat service like Trillian called Pigeon (or something)

Anyway...thanks for all the advice. Any downloads you have seem to come up first on the list.
