Hi I'm new here and I hope I've posted in the right place. When I try to open my thumbdrive in my computer icon, I get this error message "Windows cannot find 'Boot.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search."

I thought it is a virus and reformatted my notebook but the problem still persist.

I am using an Fujitsu S7110.

If you had the problem before and after reformatting, then it's unlikely it's a malware problem. Try the Software Forum and see if they can help you further!

I o_0... Anyway, I followed the instructions and my problem is not solve yet. So, maybe if someone can help me take a look at all the results of the scans that I will be attaching to the post... I can determine exactly where to seek help.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi TuRtlEgG !!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Your logs are clean. The problem you're having is not a malware problem. If you want to, you can do the following two things which will not solve your current problem, but will make your computer less vulnerable to future attacks:

    1) Go to Add/Remove Programs and look for the following and uninstall it!

    - J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6

    2) If you do not use Windows Messenger (not to be confused with MSN Messenger!!) I would like you to run Disable/Remove Windows Messenger

Ask in the Software Forum if anyone knows anything about this!
    Good luck!

If you are still getting the message about not finding boot.exe, try the below.

We may need to delete some info in AUTORUN.INF files:
    1. Right-click Start then click Search
    2. In the Named input box, type:
      AUTORUN.INF
    3. In the Look In drop-down list, select My Computer
    4. Once located, select the file then open with Notepad. Check if it contains the following string:
      shellexecute=Boot.exe or this: shell\Open\command=Boot.exe
    5. If the said strings are found, close Notepad, select the file then press Delete.
Let me know what you find.
