Video card is the ATI Radeon X1300Pro (256)

My computer is a Dell XPS410 core2duo 2.4 g with the above video card (256 ram) running XP (2) (please, no overt sneers or chuckling!!)

I use a software for photo editing (Lightroom) which supposedly may need a reinstall of the driver to get the right colors on the software--

I'm told this method (below) will work---opinions??

    - uninstall the video driver
    right-click on the desktop
    click Personalize
    click Display Settings
    click Advanced Settings
    Select Adapter Tab
    click Properties (Allow)
    click Driver tab
    click Uninstall
    select delete driver
    OK
    - your screen goes blank
    - reboot
-enter safe mode (tap F8 during reboot till saftemode appears as an option)
    -let windows reinstall the driver
    -reboot

I would download the current drivers from the ati site.. then after you uninstall / reboot.. install the driver you downloaded.

Kinda complicated to find just which one to d/l!!

Several choices for media center so maybe I'll just stay with what I have

I'm not a gamer just edit digital pictures so no exotic needs on video---

what motherboard do you have? Also, as you have a dell, they should have the drivers for your machine?

I get this for 'main circuit board':

    Board: Dell Inc. 0WG855
    Serial Number: ..CN708296BQ00L5.
    Bus Clock: 1066 megahertz
    BIOS: Dell Inc. 2.4.2 03/30/2007

Forgot to add that I went to ATI website and d/l this under media center XP for X1300Pro:

Catalyst Software Suite 35.4MB 7.8 Aug. 13, 2007 Display Driver
    Catalyst Control Center
    WDM Drivers

You think that may be what I could upgrade to??

I did try to upgrade the video driver but it said I had the most current version.
I bought this system last December but maybe I should just leave it alone??

Thanks, I did visit the dell support site and they have an updated driver for video---that's probably what I should d/l and install---:wave

    Might be a good idea

I think that if your program says you need to update your drivers, then you should update your drivers. Those would be the correct ones.
