We don't have a stairway, so our cat uses all the floor space, furniture, bed, and anything else he can leap from or run over. He chooses to do this at night after we go to bed. AND just before we get up. It's a shame he isn't younger (he's 11). so he could keep it up all night. rolleyeshttp://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r94/musksnipe/Smilies/CatPlay.gif

Great post, Emma. It is totally 100% true. My pets do nearly everything on that list, if not all. (Including the bathroom thing. The second I sit down, my cat comes from who knows where and wants attention. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r94/musksnipe/Smilies/CatWalk.gif

Cute family members Wenchie... that last one kinda looks like you tho......

OMG!! between my other half and the 2 littel dogs, I usually end up with a small corner of the king sized bed. The big dogs are not allowed on the bed... of course, my German Shepard gets all sorts of upset about this each night. The Golden doesn't really care either way as long as he gets to stay out of his crate.

What is it with cats/dogs and bathrooms?!!

My cat never, ever steps foot in the bathroom unless I'm in it...and I find it pretty unnerving particularly when showering and get the impulse to look through soapy eyes to be met with calm, unblinking, green eyes staring right back at me...spooky. Gotta admit though, he really got to me a few weeks ago with such discerning looks up and down my frame that I've stepped up my gym work:D Well, Spring is here anyway and Summer well on the way...so I guess he was posing me a reminder to get fitter.LOL

As for bed times...I could have a wall to wall bed and that darn cat would still command bed space cramping me out...!

Well I have a large blue merle Australian Shepherd named Fraser and he follows me right to the toilet and I keep asking him "Are you my potty buddy?" I should have named him Velcro!

Actually, I've never heard of a Blue Merle Australian Shepherd, either. I've probably seen one and not realised the name. Well, since I'm only a migrant, I guess I have a (weak) excuse, eh.

    Yes! Big :)

The puppies were born 2 days ago on labor day! So we should have a Halloween puppy. I'm so excited. I'm going out today to buy things since I didn't let myself 'til the puppies were born and we knew we were for sure getting one.

We have to come up with names now since it may be a boy or a girl that we get. Hubby wants a boxer name (ie Sugar Ray, etc) :D At first I was like not a freakin chance, but we thought of Oscar de la Hoya and I'm thinking Oscar isn't a bad name for a boxer. Right? heh

PS...thanks for remembering and asking Darlene. ::appreciative hug:: It's coming at just the right time since we lost our cat.

What a great idea giving it a boxers' name, (golden boy) Oscar is a cute name he's a great guy too, there's Laylia Ali if it's a girl (womens world champ) she dances good too :) Ever since you lost your cat I keep checking our older one to see if she's breathing (think I'm repeating myself here) lack of oxygen :D

Cute cats Burning_Monkey Looks like they have you well trained in providing a good environment, ie toys, scratch post;):D...and Lenny appears happily dozing/purring away there in his place...Love black cats!

Rufus, the all black cat, was taking a break from constantly trying to drive me insane with meowing at that point. I think he was just giving his lungs a rest for a bit. :)

For such small lungs, he makes so much noise.

Lenney, the tabby, was trying to decide what foot to run under when I took that photo. For being half crippled, she can race around with the best of cats.

Ooops! Got the name wrong...meant Rufus:eek:

Know what you mean about these little masters being vocal...gotta laugh when they get impatient and vocalise disgust if we don't immediately snap to a command:D

Thanks for all the kind words people. I will make sure that the furry ones hear that some one likes them. Instead of the constant yelling for quiet that I give them :D

Sounds like what I used to do with my cat. :D Cute cats. REally makes me miss mine. We were just at petsmart buying puppy stuff for when the puppy comes and there was a cat rescue organization there looking to find homes for the cats and kittens they had. Jeez, it took all I had not to take one home.

  43. Burning_Monkey

that is why I don't go to petsmart unless it is for something I can only get there.

Your not going to want to hear this LOL Kittens and Puppies get along great, grow up together and it keeps the dog from going nuts when they see a cat, After all they have one of their own. ;)

LOL...think I don't know that? I've seen the cutest pics of cats and boxers sleeping together while doing my research. Unfortunately for the past 15 years of having the cat, half my extended family hasn't been able to come to the house cause of allergies....on second thought... heh

shhh...I'm enjoying the blissful ignorance while it lasts. :D

Doesn't work that way with my cat and dog. Jerry (the cat) is the boss and takes a poke at Abby Lou ( the dog) every once in a while to keep her reminded of that. Then Abby takes it out on the strays and the squirrels to try to prove she isn't ruled by a cat. LOL

    darlene1029 A Grand Lady- R.I.P. 06/06/2012

Oh no, well I suppose there are exceptions. :D
We had to have an Akita put down and at the same time brought home a puppy. The puppy was barking and moving in and out like Muhammad Ali. The cat did not move, did not look at the pup, all of a sudden the cat smacked the pup so hard she rolled across the floor ( about 2 ft) bounced off the wall, shook her head and walked away looking back to make sure that cat wasn't after her. They became great friends. I'll dig up a pic of them to post. This was 70 80 something.

When I was a girl rolleyes I had a friend that thought cats were female and dogs were male. So yeah that makes sense LOL
