Maybe the $5 job is a wallet
Isn't that just the strangest thing you've seen.

Not being a handbag person i find it difficult to understand.

the hygiene issue must be uppermost i suppose if you don't actually put anything in there it's OK.

i can imagine that people who can claim it against tax would be the main customers

This is where I always say that women have it lucky. YOu lot get to carry a cargo unit around that can hold all the bits and bobs you need, whereas us gents need to be able to stuff it all in our pants or go without.

This is what makes me appreciate things like briefcases and messenger bags just that much more.

Oh, and not to go too far off topic, but I have to admit, if that idea works, it is a little bit of genius there.

It reminds me too of ideas for community cars, where everyone has access, you just get in one go to your destination and leave it for the next person, kinda freaks me. I'm becoming germaphobic in my old age I suppose (like the process exiting restrooms) only now it's progressed to not touching magazines in medical office's and as soon as I return home from an appointment whatever I wore goes right to the laundry. Could be from sitting watching people scratching, picking, wipeing, oh lord gonna gag :puke

Noses and what they contain is a sensitive subject with me for some reason. My babies, I could clean anything they had to offer but when it came to their little noses I had to clean with my head turned and gaging. To this day if anyone mentions nose stuff in front of me their eyes widen and look to me as if my head will pop off.

That's alright, how funny you are, I only told the story because I thought it was funny not that you caused me to gag, LOL To this day to get the upper hand my children will say, "ah, shall we talk noses". :D Brats

Actually we had a news item re renting handbags...the idea was to rent top brand name bags that one couldn't afford to buy (eg retail price for a bag could be up to $1000.00 or more). Pretty much for those glam conscious ladies who like bags with those price tags but could only afford to rent not buy.

What some people do in the name of fashion!:confused:D

To me that is down right sinful spending that much on a bag.

It's almost sinful to spend that much on just about anything. But then again, I have wanted this $1800 US watch for ever. Still might by it one of these days.

I heard of Jennifer Anisten and Brad Pitt spending thousands on a dinner, she had flip flop (sandals) $200 in all colors so on, it got so I couldn't stand to watch either of them. Not out of jealousy but think of the hungry people who could be fed with that.

Being in the fashion industry, it still amazes me how much cahs people will drop on something that is considered fashionable. Although, on the flip side of that, if I could end up being one fo those poeple who makes and sells all that stuff.... well then I guess someone dropping 1500 ona handbag is all good :)

I think if you've got it, there's nothing wrong with spending it. Those people spending the $200 on flip flops (not sure what flip flops would be worth thatrolleyes) may be giving thousands to charity. People work so they can afford a better life, not so they can give it all away. If that were the case, not many would work very hard.

It's all relative. The $20 handbag that one person buys may be a complete luxury item for another person.

I agree that spending 1000$ on a handbag is insane, but that's cause I don't have the money to do it.

Just had to throw that in there. :D

I think it is. But most people wouldn't get it at all.

And it's not a watch that looks like it should cost $1800 by any stretch of the imagination. Looks kind of plain actually.

And I take back what I said earlier, the watch now costs $2780 US. I need to get one before the price goes up again.

    EDIT: here is the watch I want;

You make everything funny, thank you! ;)
My stepson droped his pager (pre cells) down the loo, came out and told his co-workers, "if you see bubbles in the toilet, it's for me" LOL

I am almost afraid to say it, but I have never accidentally dropped anything down the loo. Every thing that I have ever put in there, I meant for it to go in there for one reason or another :D

I really hope that I don't break this streak ever either.

You should have never said that, guess where your watch is ending up now, :cry knock wood quick

My other half dropped a cell in the loo (toilette, crapper, john, whatever you want to call it), killed it good. Onb the other hand, when I replaced it, it has been dropped, kicked, thrown across the room and it still worked well.

Now I just have a cordless landline phone that I can't kill :)
