whats the best with vista - please!!!

Just updated my computer to one with vista. Use Norton at the moment with my old XP, but have problems with it. Which package would be best to use with vista please - I am not very computer minded - in fact I havent realy got a clue!!!!

u mean a good antivirus software for vista,i'm using avast home edition,it works really cool,haven't gotten any problems so far. u can hav a shot,or try antivir home edition,they r all free.Norton is a resource dog,and is not a freebie.

 

Norton has Vista-compatible products. Norton AntiVirus 2007 works with Vista and Norton AV 2008, to be released in 4 days, also works. Nod32 2.7 is also a great choice. Officially, Kaspersky is the best AV at present time. I am using Symantec AV Corporate 10.2 and it does the job fine.

 

If you want free, Avast works great as an AV and Vista Firewall Control for a firewall that is easy to configure.

 

ZoneAlarm 7.1 Free is a good choice for freeware firewall, but it's got its quirks and I'd wait for their next version. They're already working on a promising beta to fix their glitches, at least for XP.

But if you want free AV, AVG's latest free antivirus works with Vista.

 

No, VFC is free.

Like most free products, there is a more feature rich pay-for version.
