Any Sam Peckinpah, Bob Dylan fans out there?

I've just ordered a 6 DVD, 4 Western movie boxed set on special, from www.hmv.co.uk for £10, £4.20 postage to OZ.

4 westerns for AUD$35 approximately. The reason I ordered it is that I have been after the DVD of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid movie for many years now. Never seen it advertised anywhere before.

It stars James Coburn, Kris Kristofferson, Jason Robards, Katy Jurado, Slim Pickens and Bob Dylan in his acting debut.

Dylan wrote all the music, including his famous hit "Knockin' on Heavens door".

I've got the original 12" vinyl (released in 1973) purchased second-hand in 2002, the CD (imported from the USA) and now the DVD on order. :cool

Dylan's soundtrack is really haunting and I love it.

Boxed set includes Wild Bunch (2 DVD Special edition), Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, (1988 and 2005 versions on 2 DVD's), Ballad of Cable Hogue and Ride the High Country.

Sam Peckinpah is also famous for "Straw Dogs" starring a very young Dustin Hoffman. A great, but violent movie that was banned in the UK for many years. Even today, I don't think you can get the full, un-cut version.

I like Dylan better since he's gotten older. Do you have a record player bazza? Heard they making them again. After everyone has destroyed the records, bummer.

 

Yep. #1 son is an amateur DJ. He has 2 x $1000 turntables. I've just got a cheapy. They are making comeback with various electronic firms selling them.
