Can I connect my stereo to my pc and stream the local FM station so my friend living abroad can hear it? IF so, how do I do it?

I don't know the direct answer. But, does that FM station have a website, and do they stream content on it? If so, maybe he can just go straight to the website to listen.

To "stream" media from a PC, requires several pieces of "code". You will need to install a Web Server, which may require a domain name or at the very least a fixed IP address. You will also need a Media Server, and someone to write the linking code, to run it on your web server. You may also need to obtain a "license" for the use of any of the current Media Streaming Formats that you may be fond of. And don't forget the license ( or at least permission) to re-broadcast any copyrighted material of the radio station. And finally, there's the problem of paying the musical artists royalties that may also be involved. :)

They don't, no. What I'm aiming to do is connect the radio to my PC when the football game is on. If I can stream the commentary, my friend will be able to hear it.
