Dell Start-up Password

    I got a Dell from a trade cause my AMD64 went fried do to a bad video card :( ...
    well, to make the story short, I cannot use it and because I can't prove ownership Dell won't help.... It's got a boot password prior to BIOS load... any help would be good.... info is better...

    You can try this. It may help. Turn your pc off and take the cover off the tower. There is a watch battery in the tower. You need to take the watch battery out and then put it back in and then start your PC. It should go into a bio screen. It will show you what the password is and give you the option to change it from there. I hope this helps you.
