    My latest toy https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=145&pID=8703

It is so cool - will be great when I'm hunting (yes, I got turned around in the mountains today :p), and those of you who visit my blog will know I am into geocaching, so this will be an excellent tool for that too! It has so many features it is going to take a while to figure it out.

Post up your coordinates here and I'll track ya! ;)

Next you'll have army issue camo and $300 US ARMY issue boots then I will turn green:D

My son-in-law (lives in Or) went hunting alone, DUH, anyway flashlight went dead, cell phone went dead, had to stay in the woods all night, couldn't find his car. In the am he found a house which let him phone home. Sure could have used that.
    Nice by the way Lev.

@ Wildwolf - they aren't little furry animals - they are actually quite big and freaking ugly and disproportionate. Everyone thinks bambi is so agile and cute - I saw him close up today. He is odd-shaped and walks like an old man. Shoot him I say :p

@ Rikky - I have full camo but not army issued. However, my thermal leggings and body armour are US Army issue :p

@ Darlene - didn;t know you had a son in OR - which county? That is the exact reason why we carry a hand-cranked flashlight, fire starters, lighter, large piece of plastic, small amount of food and water, waterproof flares and dayglo tape ;)

@ Studiot - they are waymarked - in my brain ;)

This toy is so cool -didn't get turned around today :D There is also a geo-cache about 390 yds from my home! ( and it's in camo, Rikky!!!)

You go prepared, that's good. Have fun with you new toy. :wave

I was in Philomath about 4 weeks ago. They are doing huge road construction and developed this new one way system in the meantime. Man, did I get lost. Could have done with the GPS to navigate that bunch of bollards! ;)

Let me know if you ever make it this way and coffee is on me :D

Cool, Lev! I'm envious. I've always wanted a GPS - especially since I got turned around in Hoosier Forest while hunting one year. My brother said I got lost, but I countered with . . . "Bah. If I were lost, I'd still be out there. I was just real confused for about five hours . . . " :D

A GPS has been on my Christmas list several times . . . still waiting!

lol. Furry, tasty animals, that is . . . :yum

    :)

    Very cool Lev

I don't do woods, but I do roads and have wanted a GPS for them. I also want the prices to come down.

LOL......you can try...but you might need a GPS yourself to find me in the high wilderness ;)

I have a funny story from the weekend's hunting. There my husband and I are, in the thick of it, carefully and slowly skirting round a big clear cut keeping an eye out for deer, when suddenly in the middle of the clear cut I see another hunter in bright orange. So I get on the walkie talkie to my husband and tell him this is a waste of time as some freaking idiot is walking right through the center of the clearing. So we agree to back out. My husband leaves via the clearing and goes to "introduce" himself to what is actually 3 hunters walking through the clear cut. He pointed out to them "Yes, my wife saw you walking through the clearing we were observing, to which the hunter blushed and said "We know...." holding up his walking talkie......also on channel 5, the same channel we were on LOL

We had a great giggle about that. A long-time hunter getting a ticking off from not only a female, but a Brit HAHA - but yet, I was right. Don't walk through the freaking clear cuts, eejit!

LOL...I'm not worried. I saw them long before they saw me (due to the eejits walking the clear cut) and I'm carrying a 30-06 ;)
