My Logitech wireless mouse is driving me mad. It is twitching :D all over the place. Mouse is part of my Logitech Desktop MX3200 Laser keyboard and mouse combo.

I have installed the latest Setpoint update v4 yesterday but no change.

I've just plugged in a wired Belkin mouse into a uSB port and it works fine, but I didn't shell out lots of $$$ for a wireless mouse that has the shakes.
This has developed recently, but I am unable to track down anything conflicting with the wireless mouse. Keyboard works perfectly off the same wireless sensor. Both keyboard and mouse are on the same level on my computer desk. Sensor is above them and to the far right of the mouse as I like to use the mouse left-handed.

I have un-installed and re-installed the original CD software twice, as well as upgrading to the latest version mentioned above.

Any help, or even way out suggestions welcomed. :major
What if I use the latest MS Intellimouse upgrade featured today in

    Have you tried:

    start > control panel >display >settings >advanced > troubleshoot

Then turn down the hardware acceleration.

    Thanks evilfantasy. :cool
I was looking for Mouse settings under MOUSE in Control Panel (doh). :D I've wound the hardware acceleration back 2 clicks and will see what happens. Thanks again. Bazza

You might also want to check the Sensitivity that you have selected for your mouse under Pointer Options and see if any of those settings affect the behavior you're seeing.

I'm using my Belkin corded USB mouse at present. It works perfectly. :cool
I'll activate the Logitech and experiment with all settings suggested after I log off the Net.

It is really hard to put up with the motion of the Logitech while I am doing something serious. :cry :( Bazza

I have just downloaded the latest Logitech Setpoint update (v4) for my XP / Logitech combo.

68 meg download is ridiculous for a Mouse / keyboard driver, but it had to be done. Thanks to a fast Broadband connection I was able to download it at 352KB/s so it didn't take long. Imagine that on dialup. But I digress. I have installed it and it is not much better. The mouse still staggers and shakes and will not move in a straight line if I move it in a straight line.

As I have said before, the USB corded Belkin mini-mouse works perfectly.
I even shifted the sensor to within 50mm (2") of the wireless Mouse. No difference.

Guess I'm going to have to complain to Logitech support to see if I can get an answer. They didn't reply to my recent question when I asked about a Logitech upgrade that didn't take perfectly, so don't hold out a great deal of hope.

Logitech sensor icon says Battery life and Keyboard life are good. Even when I switch off the Mouse. :confused Maybe the Mouse des not tolerate even a small decrease in battery amps (or voltage?). I'll try the most powerful AA non rechargeable batteries I can get. Rechargeable batteries never seem to charge to the maximum recharge possible. Nearly always a couple of points below maximum even if I try different rechargers.

Any further suggestions welcome. Bazza :cry :(
