    Eating Raoul and The Messengers.

Raoul is just campy good fun and should be watched often. Messengers actually made me, the B-horror movie afficionado, jump four times. The ending was a little too formulaic for my taste, but it was still good.

Last night I watched Libertine with Johnny Depp...I found it disturbing yet long running. I also watched Hitch with Will Smith--now that was a funny movie. I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for pointers on how to communicate with the opposite sex... :)

Dead Alive. An absolutely wonderful, perfectly cheesy, disgustingly gory zombie movie. And one which I am going to have to have for my very own. We actually watched it twice in two days it was so funny. :D

Just started watching the DVD release of the TV series "The Wild Wild West".

For you youngies out there, this is not the Will Smith movie, :D but the original TV series from 1965 onwards. First series was in Black and White, second series in colour. 40th Anniversary boxed sets were released in 2006.

I got mine from amazon.com. :major

Jim West was a cross between James Bond (and gadgets) and the Magnificent Seven. I wonder what happened to Robert Conrad (Jim West). He was really good looking and this from me, a really straight guy. :D Bazza

This is dedicated to the fans of the Wild Wild West.

I was fortunate enough to buy Seasons 1 & 2 boxed sets from amazon.com at a special low price a while ago. Now I've gotta wait until Seasons 3 & 4 are released as boxed sets at the right price. :D If you are a Western genre fan, don't miss these. Baz

didn't think he was that old.

Conrad took part in some televised games in the 60's 70's all celebrities, what a cry baby / spoiled sport, threw fits over everything, no one spoke favorably of him after that.

Which version? The original, or the Tom Cruise one?
The original (1953), is corny nowadays, but too much special effects in the TC version (50+ years later), and not enough story, IMO.

IMDB link to both versions, under "Popular Titles".

I've always been surprised that no-one has bothered to make a good movie from this story. It has always had the potential to be an all-time classic.
The Jeff Wayne musical version of the book is amazing.

    @shanemail@

How did you manage to get scans of the album picture book. I guess you visited a commercial firm as my A4 scanner just won't cut it. :D

I've got that vinyl, and DVD's of both versions of the movie. I also have the 2 disc Special Edition of "Jeff Wayne's Musical version of The War of the World's, Live on Stage".

Filmed at Wembley, 25th April, 2006. It also features a working 30 foot Martian Fighting machine. It is available in OZ music/DVD stores.

Haven't watched it yet. Bazza

PS: I'd like to scan the album book double pages and use them as Wallpapers.:cool Baz

PPS: Ooops. Just realised your thumbnails were scanned from the CD booklet.  :D Bazza

I never knew much about the Virgin Mary or Jesusy things, but after reading the book, I have learnt a lot :)
The film (for me) just didn't do the book justice. You want me to send you a copy of the book?
