ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon

I've installed it by updating 7.04 on my Dell laptop.

Took some time but it all seems good so far.

I had a slight problem with firefox but it was sorted easily.

 

It broke my monitor, as do so many linux distros.

Aside from that, it was--ok. I dind't find anything overly impressive with it.

 

I'm having problems upgrading on my 'Drawer PC' - it only has a 4 gig pen drive as it's main (with 13 gig separate drive for files).
Update wont let me proceed as it 'only' has 900meg free and I keep getting told I need another 800 meg of space to be cleared for the upgrade!!

Seeing as the whole ISO is smaller than this, is there a workaround?
I don't have GIMP or OpenOffice installed - it's just a folding and browsing rig.

 

I updated to gutsy KDE everyhing went well but i am having problems with firefox playing flash videos... How about on Ubuntu and flash problems?

 

64 bit FF?

actually it's 32 bit FF. never had this problem before i updated to Gutsy, i have not really had the time to resolve it.
have you come across anyone else with this problem?
