i have a question. I go to Texas Hold Em, but no one else is there. As people join, would we all go same table, or is there a way to see if people are at a table? Anyone know?

Well, don't play it then. I can assure you that they won't set up a separate forum because a few people don't care for the idea of it.

I haven't stepped one foot in (nor the arcade), and I can honestly say that it has not affected anything I do here. Why cause such a commotion for something so minor, that you are not required to do?

It's here just for fun just like the other games in the arcade...games I might add that others have been known to 'bet' on. Added to that...maybe those with gambling problems, pRon problems, etc. should just disconnect from the internet b/c such indulgences are easily found....specifically ones where you give out your credit card #, bank account #, etc. And don't forget all those tempting spam emails for gambling sites, etc...better quit with the email account (s) to while you're ahead.

The casino here at MG is no different than the downloads, arcade & various forums...you have the choice to click or not. If you can't resist clicking then you do have a problem and maybe you should seek help so you can learn to resist.

As a final comment...a seperate forum like for live chat....uhmmm...it would still boil down to clicking or not as the link would be here at MG, the same as the casino link is now.

At a guess I would say the most likely problem people may have had with the idea was the 'money' being displayed underneath members details.

Me neither. Way I look at it is, worst possible case scenario - someone might lose all their virtual money, which wasn't worth squat anyway, and maybe had a little fun in the process. ~ It's like, I occasionally kill people and cause mayhem in the virtual world. But I know it's just a computer screen and speakers, at the end of the day, No biggie, i.m.h.o. if some have 'issues', then as said, participation is presumably voluntary.

 

The most important thing for those with gambling problems to remember is:

The world will not change for you. It never has, it never will. You have to be the one to change. Casinos do not shut down because of someone's gambling problem. It is up to you as a person to stay away from those temptations, if they are an issue for you.
