Toshiba scam--full marks for trying guys.

Ah, if only it were true.
Cheapskates have only fitted 1 gig of RAM and a 40 gig hard drive, though. :major They can't spell shippment and no 17" screen model would come with only a 40 gig hard drive (unless I specified it, of course in my "Order" )

Not Toshiba specifically, but I get tons of "confirm your prize" emails everyday.

It varies - sometimes it's Abercombie & Fitch, sometimes it's travel offers, sometimes gift certificates.

 

It got my interest because I am a Toshiba owner.

Couldh've just as easily been a Dell or Acer (etc.) specified in the scam, I guess. Bazza
