I have multiple viruses/spyware on my computer. I have run all the scans required to post, but some of them would not do exactly what i wanted. Bit Defender ran..for 2.5 hours...... and when it was done and i tried to save the log, nothing would happen, so i ran the scan three times and the same thing happened each time. I also could not get Panda to run at all. I allowed the active X control to be installed and then panda would not run and came back with an error every time. Anyways... here are my logs... Thanks in advance
    Walt

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Why are you installing all of he key logger programs that CounterSpy found and has removed (hopefully)???

    Uninstall the below software:
    J2SE Development Kit 5.0 Update 1
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 7
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.0_01
    Java 2 SDK, SE v1.4.0_01
Viewpoint Manager (Remove Only) <-- should have been uninstalled in step 0 of the READ ME
Viewpoint Media Player <-- should have been uninstalled in step 0 of the READ ME

Now download this file - combofix.exe
    1. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
    2. When finished, it will produce a log ( C:\combofix.txt ) for you. Attach this log to your next reply See: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post
    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune. This program does not require an installation. The executable actually runs the program.

NOTE: This program is for Windows XP and Windows 2000 only. ATF Cleaner will remove all files from the items that are checked so if you have some cookies you'd like to save. Please move them to a different directory first.
    • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    • Under Main choose: Select All
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
    If you use Firefox browser
    • Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
      • NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
    If you use Opera browser
    • Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
      • NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main ATF Cleaner menu to close the program.

Now attach the below new logs and tell me how the above steps went.

    1. GetRunKey
    2. ShowNew
    3. HJT
    4. the ComboFix log
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.
Uninstall the Sunbelt CounterSpy trial since we are finished with it now!

Run HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe
    O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe
    O16 - DPF: {8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93} (Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0) -
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: hmvzkplj - hmvzkplj.dll (file missing)
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: kcurcgcj - C:\WINDOWS\
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: lkoujypc - lkoujypc.dll (file missing)

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it
double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Now download The Avenger by Swandog46, and save it to your Desktop.
    • Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    • Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    • Check the 'Input script manually' box.
    • Click on the magnifying glass icon.
    • Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it in the box that opens:
    • Now click the 'Done' button.
    • Click on the traffic light icon and OK the prompt.
    • You will be prompted to restart, OK the prompt and your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    • A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt
    Now run Ccleaner!

Now attach the below new logs and tell me how the above steps went.

    1. Avenger
    2. GetRunKey
    3. ShowNew
    4. HJT

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Note: I will be on vacation until Sunday 11/11/2007. One of our other Malware Fighters will hopefully have the time to continue this thread.

First, have HJT remove the entries below..

Finally, we need to run Avenger again just like you did before.

Once you complete the above, attach fresh logs from GetRunKey, ShowNew & HijackThis.

Your logs are clean. If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below
      • Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    2. If we used ComboFix, you can delete the ComboFix.exe file, C:\ComboFix folder, C:\QooBox folder, C:\WINDOWS\nircmd.exe, and the C:\combofix.txt log that was created.
    3. If we used SDFix you can delete all the SDFix related files and folders from your Desktop or whereever you installed it.
    4. If we used SmitFraudFix, you can delete all files and folders related to it now including the c:\rapport.txt log.
    5. If we used VundoFix, you can delete the VundoFix.exe file and the C:\VundoFix Backups folder and C:\vundofix.txt log that was created.
    6. If we had your run FixWareOut, you can delete the Fixwareout.exe file and the C:\fixwareout folder.
    7. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger, the log (avenger.txt) and C:\avenger.
    8. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg, fixme1.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    9. You can delete the ShowNew.Zip and GetRunkey.Zip files and the files that you extracted from the ZIP files. You can also delete the C:\newfiles.txt and C:\runkeys.txt logs that were created
    10. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • go back to step 8 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    11. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Although I can't detect any malware, I can tell that my machine is slower than it was before all of this happened. I can hear my hard disks constantly thinking... Any suggestions??

Your last set of logs were clean so I don't think it's malware related. Just as reminder, not all slow computers are malware related, a slow system can be cause from anything from failing hardware to faulty drivers to software conflicts.

I would recommend running the two programs below if your system is running slower than normal.

The first is Vopt, this is a deragging program that defrags your partitions increasing system performance.

    Vopt 8.20

The second is RegSupreme Pro, this is a registry cleaner that scans/removes obsolete registry entries.

    RegSupreme Pro 1.7.0.416

If after running the two programs above you still seem to have issues with your system running slow, I would recommend the Software or Hardware Forum.
