The Grumpy Old Gits Thread

Whoa, this should be called the nasty thread. Still haven't figured out how a thread like this can continue, well others that seem innocuous enough are deleted post haste. Guess I haven't been around long enough, though after reading this one, don't know if you want too.

Nope, this is a first, not at all representative of discussions usually here. Maybe we're waiting for an explosion, keeps me peeking back in, can't say why though.

Yep, that was supposed to be Christmas 'fare', not 'fair' - one that slipped past spell-check. Then again, whatever does it for ya, lol.

Most of our holidays have religious and often pre-Christian origins. Does that mean we should all dust off our Druid cloaks and perform the appropriate ritual, just because that was historically earlier? Nope, we just enjoy ourselves with others, and do whatever we relate to. Which is fine and dandy as long as we respect others who think differently. Historical origins to various times of the year are interesting, though.

Agreed, that good will to others should be a 365 day a year thing. Something I try and do, even if it's just a little, every day. Some days it's not easy to be too chipper, I'll admit.

My comments were only directed at people who thing Dec 25 is solely a Christian event and are "grumpy" because its losing its Christian traditons,I totally agree respect of other peoples beliefs is paramount.

 

This thread should be removed immediately. It is being totally dominated by a bunch of sadwit mods who know nothing about computers and even less about the real world. Grow up you guys and try and get some reality into your lives.
