Where'd the HD space go?

I need an app to show me how much space on the HD is used by what files or folders... like it would show a list: folder A takes up 2gb=5.2%; folder B takes up 200mb=.97%... you get the idea. I tried one before (I think it was Sequoia View) and it made no sense at all. Any recommendations are appreciated. A friend has a Dell with a 40gb drive and only 1.6gb free after running several different cleaners. There was only 320mb free before running the cleaners and deleting unneeded software, so we've made some headway....

I tried 3 of the apps recommended here; AssessTree, ExplorerXP, and BigBazza's pie chart scanner thingy. For straight-up ease of use and clarity, I'd go with ExplorerXP. It uses the very familiar Windows Explorer type interface and is therefore really easy to navigate and use, no surprises, just straight forward file and folder info. The pie chart scanner thingy is pretty cool. It took me a minute to figure out what was up with it, and I still don't have it totally figured out yet, but the interface is pretty cool, and quite unique in how it works, and it doesn't require installation; it's a stand-alone app which is always cool. AssessTree is also a stand-alone, but I didn't care for it that much. It seemed kind of limited in that you can only get detailed info from one folder (and all of it's subfolders) in one 'scan'. Of you want to up a level, or down a level, you have to browse to the folder and click Go. It's a bit cumbersome, IMHO at least. So there's my opinions on the 3 apps I tried. I didn't try the one that was a paid product; I'm usually only looking for freeware. So thanks guys! And there you have it, if anyone gives a :crap
    ;)
