Welcome back darlene!!

 

This is truly a miraculous procedure. It gives you immediate relief in your breathing I have only heard good things about it also. I feel good passing the word to anyone with emphysema or COPD to see about this.
It really isn't a surgery, meaning I was not cut open to any great degree, just holes ( to match the ones in my head) LOL. I personally have never had much of anything done and don't deal well on drugs other than that my big discomfort is sleeping (sweating/turning) oh, and relaxing is not in my Doctors vocabulary. He wanted me up walking right after in ICU, couldn't stay awake so it prolonged my stay in the ICU plus nurses who didn't have the time to get me up and walk with me.
WALK WALK WALK are included on my discharge instructions.

I'm a little late here, but I sure do like your avatar and I'm glad you got through the surgery in one piece! Thanks LS, really didn't know what to expect (suppose everyone responds differently) but certainly not immediate turn around, after years of struggling to breath and where something as simple as a cold can become life threating, this is really wonderful, trying to spread the news to others who suffer from breathing disorders to check into it.
Sorry, got off there, suppose I should start a new thread on the subject.

I feel so bad you are now on your way to surgery also. Will say a prayer for you and think good thoughts (difficult for me, pessimist that I am) Hope it is a short stay and you'll be back to us in no time

 

By the way all, I did print out all the good wishes before I left and took them with me to the hospital, per chance the grim reaper showed up and said, "come with me you worthless hag, no one cares about you" Then I could counter with, " I have proof to the contrary right here in black and white and khaki". LOL
