Father Christmas Stories

Right I'll start maybe the first and only post in this thread but anyways

So I'm about Six and we get get word father Christmas would be making a visit and all the kids are lined up in the assembly Hall,Santa walks in we all line up to sit on Santa's knee and receive a small present of sweets or something but my mind was on other things I need to get as close to the door at the back of the assembly hall that no one was guarding,all the kids are stood in groups talking then Santa waves goodbye and leaves by the front door of the assembly hall I wait five or so seconds as I was determined this year to see him fly off on his sleigh.

So I peep round the door to see what he was doing but he had already disappeared "Magic!" I thought and I checked out of the window to see him fly of but he must have already left,there's no way he could have got to the school door before I checked I thought:confusedThis guy is good.

So a few years later I'm stood outside the headmasters office for being naughty "I spat on the floor,outside" and I notice theres about ten feet between the assembly hall door and the headmasters office.:cool Thats how he did it!The headmaster was Santa,I always wondered why santa was six foot six tall

I remember being young and we always went to church on Christmas Eve, but one of my uncles would always be sick or something and stay at my mom and dad's. When we got home from church Santa would have always been there, and there would be tracks in the snow from the sleigh. Never have figured out what they used to make the tracks.

Oh to be young again.

EDIT I've just remembered we didn't put sherry or Christmas cake out for santa it was vodka and lemon and a mince pie,by sheer coincidence they we're my muns two favorite things

My wife and wee daughter have been baking gingerbread cookies all day in preparation for Santa's visit. They will place all the cookies, carrot cake and a nip of brandy under the tree tonight.

I cannot wait until 1am !! :yum

 

Father Christmas fell down the chimney and hurt his leg. He had to cancel his jobs for the rest of the night. Shame

 

It's an old tradition that my Dad reads The Night Before Christmas to us before we went to bed. The book is getting quite torn but it's still the same one that we've used ever since I can remember and we clamour to see the pictures.

Once we were older, we would go to the pub at the end of the road for Christmas Eve, go back to the house for 'The Story' and go back to the pub afterwards, even after I got married, me and my wife would listen to my Dad read the story. (I should point out that my younger siblings were there as well, the youngest being 21 now). It's a lovely tradition that was only broken one year by my Dad being in hospital after a heart attack and now I'm working over Christmas and going to miss it. :cry

Anyway, I've got Christmas dinner when I get home tonight and pressies tomorrow morning as we're both working tomorrow afternoon.
