System Restore

My system, XP Pro, SP 2. I installed a program a few weeks ago that requires a complicated installation procedure. As it turns out, I installed it improperly and it will not function. I have been told that a simple uninstall/reinstall will not work, but that if the registry is cleaned of the programs remnants after uninstall may work, something I don't want to attempt. In any event, would a System Restore work by selecting a date previous to the program's installation?

How are you, wildwolf. Still using Comodo firewall? I am and it seems to work great. Thanks for the feedback. So you are saying that in effect, the program I installed will be gone from my system as if I had never installed it following a restore with a date previous to the program's installation? Just want to be sure so that I don't screw something else up.

yes if you do a system restore to a previous point the programe you installed will be gone..

i should of added jud if you do a system restore anything else you installed after that date will be gone also..
