Knight Rider making a return on NBC

Think it might be good They picked a good car for it altho i think a tans-am would of worked for it if its based on the old but if its a updated thing about what has happen in the time Michael has left and such then it will work out great. I just can't wait lol i am a big Knight Rider fan.

Actually just saw and advert for this, looks awesome.

 

Having seen the cars side by side, I don't think the new one is going to fly.

 

Hmmm 40mm from the floor,alloys,low profile tyres and short travel suspension I guess they arn't planning any jumps or stunts in this series,better watch out for speedbumps and curbs too

I can't wait to hear the grinding sound from the alloys when it goes on two wheels

EDIT Looking at the car I expect it to sound like 50 cent "Michael get back here byaach!"

I was honestly speechless when I saw the ads for this. What, TV isn't horrid enough now, we've got to resurrect awful shows from my childhood and revamp them into even more awful shows? What's next...the Brady Bunch set in a crack house? Ack.

 

Speak for yourself. Knight Rider was great for its time.

 

They had to go with the Mustang. There are no other choices from the "Big Three" that are worthy. I don't think the show will be as popular this time around.

 

People remember Kitt was not the car but rather the computer inside the car Kitt could have been anything in the past show remember when Michael was shot in the first episode of the show they took his Trans-Am and put Kitt in it so he could of been driving anything else a Mustang, Ranchero, Fairlane or anything else and they would of put Kitt in to it. So it don't matter about the car. The Trans-am was the popular car back then and now its the Mustangs turn. All i am trying to say is give it a chance I seen people say there not gonna watch it just because this time the Mustang is in black. Well i think people need to get over that and think it might just be good for once sure remakes are not always good but if David Hasselhoff has a hand in it then maybe it might be as good as the old one or at less close enough.

And don't take this car lightly remember the show Viper? they used a Dodge Viper prototype and it sat just like that but what they did was had one with a dodge dakota Suspension so when the car would need to go off road it had a mode that would give it a lift 4-wheel drive and the tires would balloon up to off-road tires size. If i remember right they used 10 different Vipers for that show all for the different modes the car could do.

So, Kitt's wheels, body, suspension, motor, and BRAIN, make Kitt who he (it?) is.
Would Kitt have been as cool , if it had been a getter? (Station Wagon)

atless less we agree that Trans-Am sucks give me a Ford Ranchero with the Cobra Jet anyday but i do beleave in the end like in the first movie the Tans-am was/is no more.

I was just having a little fun,I hope they do really mod out the car so it has different capabilities in that guise the only thing I can picture it doing is drift which wouldn't be that exciting after a full season.

I think one thing it will have is a touchscreen HUD and voice commands which will be a shame IMO I loved the original buttons and speedo.

 

Me too but Tech changes what they had in the car then was tech from the 80's just like what they had in Airwolf. Tech is alot better today then it was 25 years ago so i am waiting to see what they do now with it.

 

Well let's hope it changes into a decent car like a Bentley Continental then.

No, no, no. If you're going to redo it, you shove it into a Dodge Viper.

Some people say this is Ford's response to GMC being the supporter of the Transformers movie.

 

Or give him a V12 series 3 Jag like they had in The Equalizer. What you can't do with a car like that aint worth doing.

 

But if they used a Viper then it would be like the Show "Viper" that aired in the 90's

Again why would they try to make this show look like another? the car in the past looked just like any other car on the road unless you looked inside it and just how many of them Jag's do you see on the road where this show is made? or really any part of this country? but yet how many Mustangs do you see? There going with whats popular
