My girlfriend just brought her laptop over with a problem, Norton kept popping up a notice at Windows start up (XP) that said "error running oscheck.exe". Her Norton was already expired so she had somehow tried to uninstall it to get rid of the message, but was still receiving the error message.

Norton does not show up in "Remove Programs" list in the control panel but does show up in the program list when I run CCleaner. CCleaner will not allow me to remove the program though and says that "MSI must be run through setup". I'm stumped and cannot figure out how to remove the program. Anyone have any ideas?

    THANKS!!
