family tradition first born male was always William (yuk)

in England i was always Bill but here in Belgium it's always William

Being a twin, I had no choice.

They picked Harry & Larry.
But the hospital screwed up our birth certificates.
I got Harry's middle name, and he got mine........

Didn't find out for 25 years.

My parents were watching the movie, Eliza Doolittle, when my mother was pregnant. They liked the name Eliza but wanted it a little more modern, so upped it to Lisa. I'm just glad they didn't call me "Doolittle"!!

I was named after BOTH of my grandads My name is pretty stupid one of those one that isn't written as I'm named if that makes any sense,is been tradition for the first born male in my family for generations,I hated it when I was younger but now if I ever have a kids I'll do the same to him muhahaha

Well, my name is Nikolay! Actually I didn't ask my parents why they gave me this name. But as far as I remember my parents said that they named me in honor to my grandfather whom I don't remember well as he died when I was about 5 y.o... I like my name!

My sister actually named me. Being the last of four daughters, and COMPLETELY unexpected (trust me...if you get a vasectomy you HAVE to go for the checkup to make sure it took ), my parents were in no mood to think about it.
