    Hi there,
I tried all the steps you suggested in cleaning this, but of no use.

I ran combofix and it is not able to delete the file and Spybot found "smithfraud" problem and it is unable to delete that file.

The reason I am doing this stuff is I am getting lot of popups like wallst.net.

Please help me on this. Your help is much appreciated.

    Ravi

When I ran the MGtools.exe, it gave the following error message

A box comes up that says:

    Processdll.exe - application error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Per step 1 in the READ & RUN ME, you must not use MSconfig to control startups. You must put your system into Normal Startup mode as requested and you must remain there. Also see the below link for future dealings with startups but don't change anything right now other than putting your system in Normal Startup mode.

    Dealing with Startup Processes

Now continue on with the below.

Is your copy of CounterSpy a paid version or free trial? If free, uninstall it now.

Do you know what the below files are? If not, delete them.
    Code:
    "C:\Documents and Settings\manchi\My Documents\"
    7stjdb~1.jpg Jan 11 2008 98656 "7STjdBkbrCdJcUIUtYfGDSyAuhsZPFxl0300.jpg"
    80cisf~1.jpg Jan 11 2008 88092 "80cIsFJX5yubBJ0jPitBanwXuzLxR7fa0300.jpg"
    9nizbx~1.jpg Jan 11 2008 145075 "9NiZbxabDECeaB-NfGodMsUGAd83Kp950300.jpg"
    xazz6p~1.jpg Jan 11 2008 137192 "XAzz6PMSlZL8PGWNggQVJsYLPOM+t0eZ0300.jpg"
    xcpw9x~1.jpg Jan 11 2008 140560 "XcpW9xuLJecy0HbZFXffyLr5xToVKxrL0300.jpg"
Uninstall this old Sun Java version: Java(TM) 6 Update 2

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Toolbar - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {0BF43445-2F28-4351-9252-17FE6E806AA0} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now we need to use ComboFix to remove a bunch of malware files.
    • Make sure that combofix.exe that you downloaded while doing the READ & RUN ME is on your Desktop but Do not run it!
      • If it is not on your Desktop, the below will not work.
    • Open Notepad and copy/paste the text in the below code box into it (make sure you scroll all the way down in the code box to get all lines selected ):
    Code:
    Driver::
    nmntt

    File::
    C:\install.dat
    C:\WINDOWS\browser.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\35C03C043F1F42C2A989A757EE691F65.TMP
    C:\WINDOWS\ope104.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\opeE7.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\java\Packages\A4YRDZ5B.ZIP
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\bkmoopob.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\opeE2.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\opeFF.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ope106_exe.vir
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\rushdzkd.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ope106.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\opeE2.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\opeE9.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\opeFF.tmp
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\core.cache.dsk
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\nmntt.sys

    Folder::
    C:\temp\tn3
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\che9
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\edcA16
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ez4
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\mp2
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\nz0
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ob3
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vt8

    • Save the above as CFscript.txt and make sure you save it to the same location (should be on your Desktop) as ComboFix.exe
    • At this point, you MUST EXIT ALL BROWSERS NOW before continuing!
    • You should have both the ComboFix.exe and CFScript.txt icons on your Desktop.
    • Now use your mouse to drag CFscript.txt on top of ComboFix.exe
    • Follow the prompts.
    • When it finishes, a log will be produced named c:\combofix.txt
    • I will ask for this log below
    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it.

    Then attach the below logs:
    • C:\ComboFix.txt
    • C:\MGlogs.zip
Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

Thanks Chaslang for all the help,

I followed all guidelines that you suggested and I am attaching the updated logs here..

Also having one problem while running the "getlogs.bat" , An error message saying

    "Processdll.exe - application error"

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application.

One more, I have Spybot, AVG Antispyware, AVG 7.5 Antivirus and Adaware 2007 installed in the system. Should I uninstall any of these??

Please find the logs and for now I am not seeing any more popups on my system.

    You're welcome.

This error was explained in the READ & RUN ME in the Using MGtools link. You don't have the necessary Windows Updates.

Your logs are clean. If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below
      • Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    2. If we used ComboFix then UNINSTALL COMBOFIX (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN
      • Now type combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
      • Note: The space between the X and the /U, it must be there.
    3. If we user SDFix you can delete all the SDFix related files and folders from your Desktop or whereever you installed it.
    4. If we used SmitFraudFix, you can delete all files and folders related to it now including the c:\rapport.txt log.
    5. If we used VundoFix, you can delete the VundoFix.exe file and the C:\VundoFix Backups folder and C:\vundofix.txt log that was created.
    6. If we had your run FixWareOut, you can delete the Fixwareout.exe file and the C:\fixwareout folder.
    7. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger now.
    8. If we had you run RenV.exe, you can delete it and the Log.txt file on your Desktop.
    9. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    10. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    11. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    12. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    13. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Chaslang,

Thanks for the help. As mentioned I deleted all the previous system restore points and created a new restore point after rebooting.

Could you help me on this question.

I have spybot, AVG Anit Spyware and Adaware looking for spyware/malware and I use AVG Free Antivirus on my laptop(I feel this much better than Norton and Mcafee). So should I uninstall any of the Spyware programs??

I assume this question means that you have not thoroughly gone thru the link I gave you in my last message: How to Protect yourself from malware!

Read it again in more closely. None of those 3 antispyware programs is a realtime blocker and you need one. AVG Antispyware can be a realtime blocker if you with to purchase it.
