Somebody had to eventually put Alvin Lee in here. I'm glad it was you, Brad. Now I can put in a couple more later. LOL

Ooh ya @Alvin Lee and TYA. Many folk just remember 'I'm Going Home' by them which is really sad, he could be so tasteful and electric at the same time. Just lovely MK.

BTW Dr. M, I'm a hard jazz freak along with blues! Go figure?;) Chick Corea, Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman etc. etc. etc. I thought of including jazz here when I made the thread but there's not too many folk that know it so I thought it best to just stay with the 'Blues'. Man, tons of stuff out there as you can see how fast this thread has gone. Thanks muskie, for giving me the kick in the butt to start this.

Although you're more than welcome to post any jazz tunes that you like as the two are quite related IMO.:) http://bestsmileys.com/music1/3.gif I am not going to complain, that's for sure.:)

Good to see you here Brad, I figured you liked blues by the looks of your pic.;)

...and some Hendrix too. Drone Blues Billy Cox on bass, Rocky Isaac on drums and Al Marks on percussion. Way better than Mitch and Noel IMO.

Santana never seems to get very high on the guitar greats lists, but he is so darn good!. I remember years ago after his earlier albums, he studied chord progression and music theory. He was a great before that and amazing after.
This is my favorite Santana song.
    Santana - Europa

PS.... My son is named after Carlos! ;)

OK, since it's almost tomorrow for me, how about posting your favourite 'Summertime'. I'll start with the obvious Janis Joplin. A little bit different but still the same. *Sigh* A candle that burned on both ends. Thank you Janis.:)

Ya, they were good! I just have to post this ballad by them that I just found, first time I hear it! A beautiful ballad by them, who knew? Islands. BTW, some artistic nudity for those who need to know. I hope ya'll enjoy it as much as I have!:)

Oh, I have a jazzy version of 21st Century Schizoid Man if anyone's interested.

BTW, I hated King Crimson back in the day, and 35 years later...:heart :D

Wow, you guys have been busy. Those were all good tunes. Good to see you posting in here, Brad. Anyone that likes Alvin Lee and TYA as much as I do, is all right in my book. :D That was a sweet mistake (if it really was rolleyes ) Darlene. I am going to have to remember that and pull it somewhere down the road. LOL

On my way to bed, so before I walk on out of here, I'll leave you a Robert Johnson song that I didn't know this band did. My favorite version is the Unplugged Eric Clapton one, but I may change my mind. ;)
