    Hello!

I'm looking to increase the RAM in my older computer to 2G and want to make sure I'm getting the right thing since it's an older motherboard.

    My MB: Intel Billings D845BG

    http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d845bg/sb/cs-013126.htm

    My current RAM: Corsair VS512MB400

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145026&Tpk=Corsair+VS512MB400

I searched on Newegg.com for (2x 1GB) 184 pin DDR SDRAM DDR 266 as stated in the info for my MB (at the link above) and only found one:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820141217

Then I noticed that my current RAM is DDR 400 and has worked fine since I put it in almost 2 years ago. There are lots more choices at 400 but I only found that one at 266.

    1. Am I ok to go with a higher speed?

    2. Also, am I correct that I can not use DDR2?

    Thanks for any feedback!
