So what is it? I'm not talking about drugs, alcohol, gambling, anything like that. I'm talking less harmless ones.

    Like my addiction is jeans.

I love jeans. I keep explaining to my husband that you can't have too many jeans since they are for all different occasions. I have casual jeans, dressy jeans, different washes, different legs, different pockets. For some reason he doesn't buy my logic. I can't understand why.:D

My addiction and thinking of one I always fall back on is Cars... I tend to change them on a regular basis, rarely have one for longer than 3yrs, some I have changed within a year and all new released models.

oh and brunettes, with pigtails ;)

I'm with Musksnipe - Fishing is a state of mind :cool

I don't stop at a lake to see the pretty ducks, I want to know what's swimming below the surface. And as I study the bottles, tins and jars in the supermarket, I'm not looking for me to eat them - I'm just wondering how I can adapt them for fishing, and whether I've found the next wonder bait

Oh and I have enough spare parts to build about five (old) PC's and those 30 dial-up modems will come in handy one day surely, but that's not addiction, just hoarding :major

Hmm, addictions. There are a few things that I do pretty regular, that may be viewed as a bit addictive.

Let's see - upgrading, modifying, building computers, (when I have the $$$); reading, fishing/diving; and collecting all sorts of science/nature curios, etc. Definitely some items that may be classified a little off-beat, to say the least, eh. :D

I would have to say MMORPG... Lol. I don't want to think about all the hours I spend online playing!

Cuts down the TV hours very much though! :D

If I could afford it, I would make computers an addiction as well. But on a teacher's salary, one decent puter will have to do... :p

And... If same thing, I would make TV-series my addiction as well, if I could! I'm drooling over all the good things that have come out on dvd lately that I would love to have.

Ohh I have one more addiction... Star Trek... Can't get enough! :D

I've recently adopted a new passion. I like to write program code for modifiable games like Morrowind and Oblivion. Then I post them online for others to enjoy. The addiction doesn't come from writing the program code, but instead comes from the good feelings that the adoring fans pour out towards me. When they like your work, they totally LOVE you, and aren't bashful in saying so. I admit, it's a 'high' that took me by surprise, and although I know it's a bit nerdy, at least it keeps me out of trouble.:)

    Addictions... hm, lets see.

Video games. Almost all of them (except FPS games since they never give me a good reason for WHY I am shooting all these aliens/people/robots/random-generic-enemies). Electronic toys, most recent acquisition is a blue-black DS Lite. Internet forums. I have managed to cut back to the point where I am an active member of only three... a great accomplishment for me. :)

I am also addicted to more normal stuff, like music, books, dark European chocolate, good single malts, and NBA games.

At the moment... online games, 'point and click' and 'room escape' games. I love all the old games too, I've kept all the games and consoles I bought for the kids ;) over the years right back to the first Nintendo console - I can't part with them. The kids even bought me a DS lite for christmas and Zelda The Phantom Hourglass, best christmas present ever.:D But I must admit I prefer old style games to the newer realistic style. Probably the same reason as to why I prefer the classic Walt Disney animations to the computer generated animations.

I’m glad my wife’s not into shoes but we sure have enough candles. Good thing is that last week the power went out for 4 hours & when I came in the house it looked like there was some witchcraft ceremony going on. It was like aliens ripped our roof off & gave us an instant sun tan from all the light. Can’t do much in the dark with shoes now, or can you. rolleyes

Lol . . . My wife shares the shoe addiction . . . and purses, it seems. The more ugly the purse, the more she wants it. Her closet is a warehouse of shoes and odd purses - while my closet is full of computer bits and pieces from the last 10 years. We get along very well - I don't comment on her addictions, and vice versa :D

My addiction is music. in fact, I have loads of music at home... Provided that the styles I like are pretty unpopular my collection is very useful.
My turtle is also my addiction. I waste a lot а time taking care of him: cleaning the terrarium, improving the water microflora, adjusting the temperature and studying additional literature. I can't help doing that, he's so handsome!
My third passion is reading. I read a lot, when I'm in bus, at home or whatever. I prefer reading classic novels in Engish.
