Was told by smithfraud removal tool to post this before I cleaned up, so here it is. Not needing response, I guess, unless someone sees a glaring issue in passing.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

That is only the log from Step 1. Did you do the second step which actually does the cleaning? Attach that log too. Are you still having problems?

Ok, did the cleaning. Here is my new log. Thanks for the reply. By the way, after cleaning, durring reboot, the resident SpybotSD alerted me of the same registry change attempt. I denied the change. Thanks again.

I don't know what registry change you are referring to. You never show us anything related to a registry change. Perhaps what you are blocking was the changes that SmitFraudFix was trying to make to remove the malware and all you may have done was prevent the fix. Are you running Spybot's Teatimer???

Are you having malware problems? If so, do the below.

Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.

    Yes, using teatimer.
The fix seems to have worked. No popups anymore.
    Thanks for the assistance.

    Thanks again.
As suggested, I've decided on the PCTools av. One question, should I be running the Spybot teatimer on top of that or not?

Teatimer is not an antivirus program so there is no conflict. Just make sure you are not running any other realtime antispyware blocking tool. This is where a conflict could arise.
