Im looking for a pure gaming computer. would like pro's and cons to liquid cooling system. Some say it is dangerous cause it can leak if not installed right and completly kill the computer. So i know that already. What are the other cons and the pros.

Links would be really appreciative. Dont ask what im willing to spend lol. Just post links to the best gaming peices of the cheapest price plz. And yes i would like the case to be styling with lights lol. Thank you all for your help and i hope someone can help me with this area.

    Thank you

    Scott.

I'm not going to point you to some parts that are the "best" for gaming. What I think is the best, and what others think is best is going to be very different. It's based on what is best for your situation, for your budget. I can find test results to back any claim I make for or against any particular product. Benchmarks here, frames per second there, etc etc etc. The way I see it, if the PC plays the games you want it to play, and plays them how you want them to play, then nothing else really matters. Instead of asking the opinions of others, do some of your OWN research and form your OWN opinions of what is best for YOU. Nobody else can tell you what you are going to like and what you need. Visit the forums for the games you want to play and find out what is working for those folks. You'll learn alot more by making up your OWN mind, instead of having us make it up for you.... if you come back with a list of various components, and ask us how we think a certain setup might perform certain tasks or games, that is different, and I (for one) will be happy to help.

(I'm not trying to be an a-hole here. I'm actually trying to HELP you, believe it or not ;) )

Oh yeah.... liquid cooling.... if a PC is built correctly, and is being run as it was designed and intended to be run, then (IMO) liquid cooling is un-needed. If you plan on overclocking your parts to the brink of meltdown, then liquid cooling may be necessary. Keep in mind: you are a self-proclaimed "noob" and overclocking (in your case) is probably not a good idea unless you want to be frustrated with a crashing PC and broke because you kep blowing up motherboards and CPUs.

Look here for some general advice.

If you are going to try building yourself.

We have seen several posters lately who do no seem to realise that motherboards need to be isolated from the case by using standoffs.

You must never make adjustments/connections with the power connected. Motherboards/ power supplies. are always live, but dormant, even when switched off.

Finally read the manual, some new boards ship with the rest switch or jumper set to reset.

    Happy building.

sites like tomshardware do some great comparison charts on video cards and cpus for performance, and then you can decide which one you think you want...then do some comparison shopping on pricegrabber.com to see where the best deals are...just keep in mind, the cheapest isn't always the best, and vice-versa
you can build a "good" gaming computer anywhere from about $500 up. I recently built one for just under $1000, and it's just great, but you could go cheaper if you want. I mostly play call of duty 4 and it ran fine on my old P4 computer, but now it runs at max settings.

I also do alot of divx/xvid to dvd, and dvd copying and with a intel e6750, it flies compared to my old one...
