I would think there's a simple answer to this ...?

Why is it that I am not able to access CCleaner from my Guest/others user account (what I have named "Friends & Family") ? I can't seem to find it anywhere in this account - but it is accessible on my other two user accounts.

    Thanks.

The other accounts have admin/full access... the guest account is just that, a "guest" account with limited access and privileges....

I appreciate the reply - I really do, but only the admin account is set-up that way. MY account is "limited", or "Standard", as it is now known in Vista (does not have full access like the admin does). The "Guest" (or otherwise named account) allows all other programs - just not CCleaner. Not to mention, a simple right-click (in Vista anyway), allows me to run anything else - as long as I provide the admin password.

I'm still left with the "mystery" (to me) as to why CCleaner does not show-up (display itself) anywhere in the third user profile/account, as it does in the admin AND as it does in the second (my) account (which again, is "limited" [not "Full Access", such as the admin is]).

    Thanks.

It sounds like you have Vista. I'm running XP Pro with three user accounts. When I downloaded CCleaner, the CCleaner icon did not appear on any of those desktops. Here's what I did:

Adding Ccleaner desktop icon to other user accounts:
    Go to that particular account
    Access Explorer
Go to that accounts Program Files in the C drive
Locate CCleaner (left pane) and click (one time)
Locate the CCleaner icon (right pane), right click to send it to the desktop of that particular account as a shortcut.

when you installed the program, was there any option (allow all users, or this user only)? you might want to uninstall, and reinstall?

or right click properties, and see if there is an option for other users. g/l, sos

Good suggestion, but I don't think CCleaner has that option.

Your welcome, grc123. I hope the procedure works for you. One other tidbit of information: Running CCleaner in one user account does not clean all the other user accounts. You have to run CCleaner from each user account in order to clean that particular account. I think I read in the CCleaner forum several months ago that they may consider an upgrade down the road to simplify this. But, until and unless that happens, you have to clean one user account at a time. (I don't think it's much of a hassle to do).
