hijack help

    Can anyone tell me what the codes are and which one can I remove to clean it up. I also have new vista, cam anyone tell how to get rid of yahoo search bars.

    Did you happen to ever read the sticky threads that we post in the forum. :) Like:

    HJT Tutorial - DO NOT POST HIJACKTHIS LOGS

    They are there for a reason. ;)

    Why? Are you having malware problems? If so, HijackThis is not the answer another sticky thread is:

    READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

    And if you are not having malware problems, HijackThis is still not the answer to what ever problems you are having. You should not be using HijackThis on your own even if you do read the tutorial. It is a tool for experts and only has specific reasons for being used. It is not a cure all.


    This is not a malware problem and should be posted in the Software Forum, but if you don't want the Yahoo software then uninstall it which is the same thing you should do for any other program you don't use that is installed.

    Thank you for your reply. The only thing I am trying to do is remove some junk that has been written in the background. I think that if I remove unneeded stuff that I will be doing better than f i wait untill i load my stuff and then find stuff in the start up that i dont need. If you could offer any assistance it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    I don't know what you mean by "junk that has been written in the background". Did you mean processes that are loaded at startup? Again this is not a malware problem unless you are having problems with malware processes. The below link explains what to do about startup processes:
